Mrs. Lenora G. Wood, retired Norfolk school teacher, died on Tuesday at her 
residence,  741 E. Charlotte street, after a brief illness.  Funeral services 
will be held Friday, Feb. 18, at 3 p.m. at Morning Glory Funeral Home.  Dr. J. 
R. Johnson Jr., pastor of St. John AME Church will officiate.

Born in Norfolk, Mrs. Wood was a graduate of Hampton Institute.  She taught in 
the county and City of Norfolk over 50 years.  She was a member of St. John AME 
Church for several years and was the daughter of the late Mrs. Louisa Smith.

Mrs. Wood is survived by one niece, Mrs. Mary L. Smith, several nieces and 
nephews and other relatives.

Morning Glory Funeral Home had charge of funeral arrangements.
