Norfolk Journal and Guide, Jan 27,1962
A funeral service was held Saturday at First Baptist Church, Bute street, for 
Robert Wood of 1514 Conoga street.  The Rev. E. Paul Simms officiated and was 
assisted by the Revs. Richard B. Martin and Harvey N. Johnson.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery under direction of B. F. King Funeral Home.

A native of Norfolk, Mr. Wood was a retired waiter who served Sir Walter Raleigh 
Hotel in Virginia Beach for 20 years.

He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
