Virginian Pilot Thursday May 31, 1894
Mr. John Thomas Wood, a well known citizen, died at his residence on James street 
Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, aged 48 years.  He is survived by a wife and 
several children.  The funeral will be from St. Luke's P.E. Church this afternoon 
at 4 o'clock.  The interment in Elmwood.
