RUSSELL A. WOOD SR.

NORFOLK - Russell A. Wood, Sr., 57, of 2830 Argonne Ave., the husband of Mrs. 
Sadie Greico Wood and a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wood, died Wednesday in a 
hospital.

He was a lifelong resident of Norfolk and a member of Christ the King Catholic 
Church, and was retired from the paint department of the Portsmouth Naval 
Shipyard.

Besides his widow, survivors include three sons, Jospeh R. Wood of Chesapeake amnd 
Russell A. Wood Jr. and John A. Wood of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. John Rivers of 
Wilmington, N.C.; and two grandchildren.

The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Christ the King 
Church for a funeral service Saturday at 10 a.m.  Burial will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery.  The Rosary will be recited in the funeral apartments Friday at 7:30 
p.m.
