He was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church; Ruth Lodge No. 89, A.F. and A.M.; Grice Commandery No. 16; Knights Templar; Norfolk United Chapter No. 1, Royal Arch Masons, and Khedive Shrine Temple. He was also a member of Norfolk Lodge No. 38, B.P.O. Elks. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bernard H. Walter and Mrs. Charles C. Tinsley, and one grandson, Charles C. Tinsley, Jr., all of Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. Spencer R. William, rector of Christ Episcopal Church, Smithfield. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
