Mrs. Blanche Gay Wood, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Gay, died Tuesday,
May 2, at 11:30 p.m. at  her home, 884 Johnson avenue.  She was 53.

She was a native of Norfolk and is survived by a nephew, Robert L. White of
Washington, DC, and two nieces, Mrs. Olivia Smith and Miss Mattie Gay of Norfolk.

Funeral services were held May 3, at 10 a.m. at the First Church of Christ
Holiness.  Rev. O. W. McInnis, pastor, officiated.  Burial was in Calvary
Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge.
