Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 29, 1952

Mrs. Jennie Butt Wood, 82, wife of James Leon Wood and daughter of Willoughby and 
Mrs. Sarah Portlock Butt, a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died 
yesterday at 7:05 p.m. at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and 
Mrs. Bernard H. Wolter, 1045 Graydon Avenue.
Besides her husband and Mrs. Wolter, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. 
Charles C. Tinsley and one grandson, Charles C. Tinsley, Jr., all of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Wolter residence tomorrow at 10 a.m. by 
the Rev. Beverley Tucker White, rector of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, of which 
Mrs. Wood was a member. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
