The Norfolk Virginian Pilot October 4, 1950
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Wood, 79, widow of Frank Godfrey Wood, died at a Norfolk 
hospital yesterday at 2:40 a.m. after a long illness.
She was a native of Sullivan County, N.Y., and had been a resident of Norfolk 
51 years. She resided at 1220 West 41st Street.
Mrs. Wood was employed at the Sunlight Laundry and was a member of the Women's 
Benefit Association.
Funeral services will be conducted at the George P. Gregory Funeral Home 
tomorrow at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
