Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark October 24, 1917

Miss Clarkey Woodard, 63 years old, died yesterday morning at 4 o'clock at the 
home of her sister, Mrs. Lula Roane, 694 Seventh street, Claremont Park, 
Norfolk County. Miss Woodard was a former resident of Berkley, where she had 
lived 25 years and was a daughter of the late William and Eliza Woodard. The 
funeral services will be conducted at the funeral apartments of J.R. Williams 
in Chestnut street this afternoon at 3 o'clock and burial will be in Magnolia 
Cemetery.
