John Hugh Woodcock, Sr., 57, of the 8000 block of West Glen Road, passed away May 
20, 2004, in his home.

A native of Virginia, he was the son of the late Herman and Marie Woodcock and a 
retired restaurant manager.

He is survived by two daughters, Margaret Barber of Norfolk, VA and Christina 
Lessey and her husband Jeffrey of Wisconsin; a son, Capt. John Woodcock, Jr. and 
wife Katrina of Richmond, VA; and a sister, Ann Rivers and husband Robert of 
Midlothian, VA. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Allison Barber, 
Zachary Woodcock and Jacob Lessey; and a niece, Elizabeth Case and husband Daniel 
of Christiansburg, VA.

A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery in 
Norfolk, VA. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Tidewater Drive Chapel Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the
