A native of Norfolk county, he was the son of Isiah Wooden and Mrs. Hattie Wooden and the husband of Mrs. Lucille V. Wooden. He was employed with Hale Funeral Home, Inc., and was retired from the Naval Air Station, Norfolk. He was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church and was a veteran of World War II (Navy). Mr. Wooden is survived by one sister, Mrs. Harriett W. Woodhouse, Waterbury, CT., and one aunt, Mrs. Mattie Johnson of Norfolk. A funeral service was held in New Calvary Baptist Church by Dr. Milton A. Reid. Interment, with full military honors, was in Calvary Cemetery. Hale Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
