Norfolk Virginian-Pilot, Saturday, August 5, 1939 
George L. Woodhouse - Funeral services for Mr. Woodhouse, aged 71, who died 
Thursday at the residence of Mrs. Blanche B. Woodhouse at Oceana, will be held 
this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the funeral home of Paul B. Warren & Son, 362 
West Princess Anne road. The Rev. W. L. Murphy, pastor of Central Methodist 
Church, Portsmouth, will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. 
Delegations from the Y.M.C.A. and Boy Scouts, organizations which Mr. Woodhouse 
served during most of his life, will serve as honorary pallbearers. Mr. 
Woodhouse prepared his own obituary before his death. mr. Woodhouse was member 
of Norfolk Council No. 2., Order of Fraternal Americans.
