The Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 4, 1939
George L. Woodhouse, aged 71, died yesterday afternoon at 1:45 o'clock at the 
home of Mrs. Blanche B, Woodhouse, of Oceana, after a short illness. Mr. 
Woodhouse was born in Princess Anne County, the son of Judge John J. and Mrs. 
Mary Woodhouse. He devoted most of his life to Y. M. C. A. and Boy Scout work.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Frances West, of Ocean View; two brothers, 
John J. Woodhouse, of Newport News, and Wilson P. Woodhouse, of Fayetteville, 
N. C., and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Woodhouse was a member of Norfolk 
Council No. 2. Order Fraternal Americans.

The body was moved to the funeral home of Paul B. Warren and Son, 362 West 
Princess Anne road, pending funeral arrangements.
