R. Woodis, a well-known citizen of Norfolk, died yesterday at Williamsburg. The body will be brought here today for interment. Mr. Woodis was the son of the Hon. Hunter Woodis, the Mayor of Norfolk in 1855. He was a very pleasant and popular gentleman. The funeral of Mr. H. R. Woodis took place at 10:30 o'clock yesterday morning, from the residence of Mrs. Wm. S. Camp, No. 52 Freemason Street, in the presence of a large assemblage. The service was conducted by Rev. Father W. Gaston Payne, of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and the interment took place in Elmwood. The following were pall-bearers: Messrs. Jos. Pugh, T. F. Rogers, John N. Vaughan, Geo. W. Johnston, John Vermillion, J. Q. Hewlett, Fred Robinson and W. C. Dickson. The floral tributes were very beautiful.
