Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark September 20, 1932

Mrs. Zilphia Howell Woodlief, aged 79, died at the family residence, 425 
Westover Avenue, last night at 9:30 o'clock after a long illness. She was a 
native of Goldsboro, N.C. and had resided in Norfolk for 30 years. Surviving are 
four daughters, Mrs. R.C. Goodwin, Mrs. S.J. Baird, Mrs. H.S. Rice and Miss Alma 
A. Woodlief, of Norfolk; two sons, G.A. and C.N. Woodlief, of Norfolk; three 
sisters, Mrs. C.P. Williams, of Raleigh, N.C. and Mrs. N.H. Wilkinson and Mrs. 
Henry Lawrence, of Laconic, N.H.; 10 grandchildren and three great- 
grandchildren.
The body was removed to the James V. Derry Funeral Home, 346 West Princess Anne 
Road. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
