A native of Norfolk County, she was a lifelong resident of the county and Portlock area. she was the widow of Richard A. Woods and a daughter of William and Mrs. Emma Chapin Niven. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, South Norfolk. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. James K. Hollomon of Chesapeake, Mrs. Robert Cotterman of Atlanta, and Mrs. L.B. Coale (Coate) of Fairfax; a son, James N. Woods of Baltimore; eight grandchildren, and seven great- grandchildren. The body was taken to Graham Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. by the Rev. Harry R. Goodwin of First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested contributions to First Presbyterian Church, South Norfolk.
