ELMER C. WOODS

NORFOLK - Elmer Cyril Woods, 66, of 5546 Brickell Road, died in a hospital 
Wednesday.

He was a native of Cincinnati and lived here 25 years.

He was the husband of Mrs. Lucile Faulk Woods and a son of Charles H. and Mrs. 
Katherine Cooney Woods.

He was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church.

He was a retired Marine Corps colonel and a retired industrial relations officer 
of Norfolk Naval Station.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Edward A. Twining Jr. of Long 
Island, N.Y.; three brothers, Charles H. Woods of Oklahoma City, Leslie E. Woods 
of Cambridge, Mass., and Ralph W. D. Woods of Coronado, Calif., and two 
grandchildren.

A wake service was held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Friday at 8 p.m.  A 
requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Matthew's Catholic Church today at 9:30 
a.m.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
