SARA J. WOODSON

NORFOLK - Sara Frances Jacobs Woodson, 72, of the 1300 block of Willow Wood Drive, 
died Oct. 27, 1988, in a hospital.

Mrs. Woodson, a native of Roanoke, was a member of Christ the King Catholic 
Church.  She was a 1939 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Nursing.  
Shewas a member of Lakewood Garden Club, Lakewood Civic League and the Lakewood 
Circle of the King's Daughters.  She also was a member of the auxiliaries of the 
Norfolk Academy of Medicine, DePaul Medical Center and Sentara Norfolk General 
Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Frederick G. Woodson; four daughters, Dorita 
Wood of Charlottesville, Sharon Strassburg of Spartanburg, S.C., and Judith Levin 
and Melissa Stevens, both of Norfolk; a son, Charles F. Woodson of Norfolk; and 
eight grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King Catholic 
Church by the Rev. Joseph P. Lehman.  Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum.  
A Christian wake will begin at 7 p.m. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
Norfolk Chapel.
