NORFOLK - Willie Daniel Woodson, 56, of the 2300 block of Vincent Ave., was
called home to be with the Lord on Nov. 14, 2003 after a long illness. Willie
was born on Aug. 20, 1947 to the union of his late father, Willie G. Woodson and
his mother, Mary Frances Woodson. Willie honorably served his country in the
United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. In addition to his
mother, Willie is survived by his son, Shane Sanders and daughter Monica
Williams, both of Chesapeake; three brothers, John A. Owens (Rosa), James M.
Woodson and Eddie C. Woodson all of Norfolk; a sister, Clara W. Graves (Michael
Sr.) of Virginia Beach; three nieces, Lisa Woodson, Crystal Graves, Oriel
Rivers; three nephews, Steven Woodson, Michael Graves II, Michael K. Parker; and
a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at noon Tuesday in
the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 7246 Granby St., the Rev. Gregory
Chapman officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery , Norfolk. Family and
friends will assemble at 4741 Hermitage Road one hour prior to service for
