The Virginian Pilot Wednesday August 2, 1911
Thomas O. Woodward, of South Norfolk, who several days ago planned for his 
funeral and burial with Funeral Director J. R. Williams arose yesterday morning 
and ate a hearty Breakfast and passed away at his home 15 Ohio Ave., at 9:30 
o'clock. He had been ailing several months and many of his friends anticipated 
the end as he was suffering from a complication of diseases.
He was a native of Norfolk county, was 65 years old and is survived by a widow 
and one child. Mr. Woodward moved to South Norfolk about fifteen years of age.
The funeral will be conducted from the residence this afternoon at 3 o'clock. 
Rev. E. W. Cowling, rector of St. Thomas Episcopal Church will officiate and 
the interment will be in Elmwood cemetery, Norfolk proper.
