Kenneth Eugene Woolwine, 67, of Atlantic Shores, passed away Dec. 28, 2003, in 
a local hospital. He was retired from the Norfolk Fire Rescue after 35 years of 
service. Born in Roanoke, Va., he was the son of the late Nettie Clark Woolwine 
and Elmer Woolwine and was the widower of Betty Hanbury Woolwine. Mr. Woolwine 
was a member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk and was the U.S. Coast Guard 
Reserves.

 Survivors include a daughter, Amy Woolwine Taylor; two grandchildren, Blair 
Anne Taylor and Grant Austin Taylor, all of Norfolk; and a sister, Peggy Stum 
of Deland, Fla.

A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Elmwood Cemetery 
by the Rev. Fred Braswell. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
