Norfolk Ledger Dispatch November 24, 1936

Mrs. Nora Worrell, aged 80 years, widow of James Richard Worrell, and daughter 
of the late James Rice and Elizabeth Irwin Daniel, of Louisville, Ky., died 
Sunday morning in Baltimore, Md. Mrs. Worrell, a former resident of Norfolk, is 
survived by three daughters, Mrs. Charles J. Pannill of New York; Mrs . Robert 
E. Lee, of Virginia Beach and Mrs. John C. Nelson of Greensboro, N.C.; one son, 
Richard A. Worrell, of Rochester, N.Y., and one granddaughter, Miss Elizabeth 
W. Woodard, of New York. Funeral services were held at St. Andrews Church, this 
afternoon at 3:30 o’clock, with the Rev. E. Ruffin Jones, D.D., rector, 
officiating. Interment was private in Elmwood Cemetery.
There was a large attendance. The casket was covered with a pall of Easter 
lilies and ferns. Six undertaker’s assistants served as pallbearers.
