Virginian=Pilot, June 21, 1891
William Wright, Esq., a highly esteemed citizen, and for nineteen years chief 
engineer of the water department, died at the water works, where he lived, 
yesterday at 5 p.m., in the 71st year of his age. Mr. Wright's wife died only a 
short time ago, and also his son. Immediately upon the announcement of his 
demise, Chief Kevill, of the fire department, ordered the fire bells tolled for 
half an hour. Funeral services over his remains will take place Monday, at 4 
p.m., from St. Paul's P. E. Church.
