NORFOLK - Ione Johnson Wright was called by her master to be in peace and 
happiness with him Feb. 9, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 
40 years, Louis E. Wright Sr. and son, Louis E. Wright Jr.; her parents, Edith 
and Wallace Johnson and brothers, James and Wellington Johnson. 

She will be truly missed by her three daughters, Edith Jackson (Fred), Ione 
Rosser (Render), Pamela Moye (Lenton) and son, Karl Wright (Sylvia). She will 
also be sorely missed by her grandchildren, Sonya Parris (Chris), Karla Leath, 
Kandace Wright , Alexis, Lentonia, Lisa and Lenton "Lou" Moye; four great-
grandchildren; a nephew, Donald Johnson (Elaine); a niece, Karen Johnson and 
goddaughter, Nicole Baker; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. 

A funeral will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m. in First Baptist 
Church Bute Street with the Rev. Dr. Robert G. Murray officiating. Burial will 
be in Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be today from 2 to 8 p.m. at Riddick 
Funeral Service. The body will be placed in the church Saturday at 9:30 a.m. 
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shepherd's Village, Ready Academy 
or Lee's Friends.
