Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - April 16, 2008
NORFOLK - Kathryn Pretlow Wright , 86, of the 1200 block of Pike St., was 
called home to be with the Lord April 10, 2008. Born in Norfolk, she was the 
daughter of the late Garland Pretlow Sr. and Lillie Deal Pretlow . She worked 
with the Norfolk public school system until her retirement. She was a longtime 
member of St. Thomas AME Zion Church. 

She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Roscoe Pretlow Sr. and 
Garland Pretlow Jr. Survivors include two sisters, Lillie Ponds of Norfolk and 
Hortense Greene (Vantilburg) of Virginia Beach; a special family friend, Henry 
Peebles of Suffolk; one nephew, one niece, a host of great-nephews, great-
nieces, cousins and friends. 

A funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Thomas AME Zion Church. 
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 3 to 7 
p.m. today in Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. We invite you to send
