Norfolk Virginian Pilot March 17, 1963

Joseph W. Wright, 74, of 816 Gates Ave., medical representative of Eli Lilly 
Co., died Saturday at 7:35 a.m. in a hospital.
A son of Edward and Mrs. Mary Choate Wright, he was a native of Warren County, 
N.C. and had lived in Norfolk since 1907.  He was a member of Ghent Methodist 
Church and Atlantic Masonic Lodge 2.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jessie J. Wright of Norfolk; three brothers, Capt. 
E.J. Wright of Hampton, Walter Wright of Boydton and Macey Wright of Camden, 
N.J.; and two sisters, Mrs. E.N. Parker of Gainesville, Ga. and Mrs. R.L. 
Stembridge of Danville.
A funeral service will be held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Monday at 3 
p.m.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
