Mrs. Frances Wright, 130 Alexander St., died May 28, at 1 a.m. The funeral was
held Sunday, May 31, from the St. John’s Church with Rev. L. L. Berry
officiating. She had been a member there for sixty-five years having joined
under the pastorate of Rev. Watkins. Mrs. Wright, who was born a slave, is
survived by two daughters, Mrs. Julia Harris, of this city; and Miss Lena
Porter; a grandson, Francis, Jr.
