Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, March 9, 1998 
Gladys B. Wright of the 800 block of Robinson Road, died March 5, 1998, in a
local hospital.

Born in Cape Charles, Va., she was the widow of John T. Wright Jr. Mrs. Wright
was a retired custodian for Portsmouth City Schools with 23 years of service.
She was a former member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Norfolk.

Survivors include two daughters, Cloyce Hart and Annette W. Brooks, both of
Portsmouth; a son, Johnnie Wright of Chesapeake; seven grandchildren, Erika,
Dana, Shanique, Sherice, Alonzo, Tiy and Jamaal; two great-grandchildren, Maya
and Bailey; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Wright; and a son-in-law, George Brooks.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in the chapel of Graves Funeral
Home, Norfolk, by the Rev. Ronnie Northam. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery ,
Norfolk. The family will receive friends at the residence.
