                John J. Wulzer Sr., 72, Retired Executive Dies

John J. Wulzer Sr., 72, retired secretary and treasurer of the Spicuzza Fruit 
Co., died Wednesday at 2 a.m. at his home, 528 W. 37th St.
Born in Rome, Italy, he had lived in Norfolk 55 years. He was the husband of 
Mrs. Titina Ruggieri Wulzer and a son of Ernest Charles and Mrs. Anna Pelini 
Wulzer. 
He was a member of Norfolk Elks Lodge 38 and Roma Lodge, Sons of Italy and a 
charter member of Norfolk-Portsmouth Traffic Club.
Besides his widow, surviving are three sons, Ernest C. Wulzer of Norfolk, Joseph 
P. Wulzer, USAF, Greenville, S.C., and John J. Wulzer Jr. of Norfolk; two 
daughters, Mrs. Olga W. Kingry of Norfolk and Mrs. Helen W. Fishel of Great 
Bridge; 10  grandchildren; two brothers, Mario Wulzer of New York and Paoli 
Wulzer of Italy and one sister, Miss Euphemia Wulzer of Italy.
A rosary service is scheduled at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments today at 7:30 
p.m. A funeral service will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Friday 
at 10 a.m. with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.

NORFOLK – The body of John J. Wulzer Sr., who died Wednesday at his home, 528 W. 
37th St., will be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church for a Funeral service today at 10 a.m. Burial will be 
in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
