Celestine B. Wyatt of the 600 block of W. 36th St. died Aug. 25, 2000, in
Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Norfolk and was a home day care operator, where she cherished
the smiles of the little ones in her charge. She was a member of Bank Street
Memorial Baptist Church and a former Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include her husband, John Wyatt Sr.; three sons, John Wyatt of Hampton
Roads, Reginald Wyatt of Florida and David Wyatt of Norfolk; two sisters, Evelyn
Henry of Philadelphia, Pa., and Dorothy Fields of Portsmouth; three brothers,
Reginald Branch and Bernard Branch, both of Norfolk, and Roland Branch of
Chesapeake; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Bank Street Memorial Baptist
Church by the Rev. Dr. Cedric Kirkland-Harris. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery . The remains will be ready for viewing from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Thursday and the family will
assemble at her residence for the procession at noon. Carlos A. Howard Funeral
Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
