Wyatt Sr., shop steward for Teamsters Union 822 and an active churchman, died March 12 at his residence, 283 Filbert street. Mr. Wyatt, a native of Norfolk, was employed the last 14 years by Atley Express Company. He was a member, steward, trustee and Sunday school teacher at New Mount Zion AME Church, Bollingbrook. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lilly B. Wyatt; wife, Mrs. Daisy Wyatt; four sons, William of Norfolk, Rufus of Brooklyn, NY, Ernest of Jacksonville, NC, and Capt. James C. Wyatt, USA, Eatontown NJ; and one sister, Miss J. C. Wyatt of Norfolk. Funeral services will be held at New Mount Zion AME Church, Saturday, March 19, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. H. L. Camper officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Graves Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
