B17 NORFOLK - Funeral services were conducted recently in First Baptist Church, Bute street, for Mrs. Virginia C. Wyche of 2412 Myrtle avenue. The Rev. E. Paul Simms officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge. A native of Southampton county, Mrs. Wyche was a daughter of the late John and Mrs. Laura Canada and the wife of Bailey R. Wyche. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute street, and its Do All We Can Club, Dorcas Class, M.E. Gordon Missionary Society, the Mary J. Brown Missionary Group, Vernice Tents 500, Leisure Hour, YWCA and the Progressive Garden Club. Mrs. Wyche was known throughout the state for her prize winning flower arrangements. Surviving.in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Moore of Detroit; two brothers, George Canada of Philadelphia and Leroy Canada of Sparkill NJ; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Smith of Norfolk and Mrs. Esther Day of Pittsburgh.
