Mary Dorothy Rano Yanez, 78, of the 900 block of Wakefield Ave., died April 29, 
1992, in her home.

Mrs. Yanez was born in Norfolk and was the widow of Jose Yanez. She was a member 
of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Virginia Beach.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Y. Bryan of Virginia Beach; three sons, Joseph 
R. Yanez, John J. Yanez and Anthony F. Yanez; a sister, Sara R. Morris; and a 
brother, Frankie Rano, all of Norfolk; and 10 grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Friday in St. Gregory the Great 
Church by the Rev. Paschal Kneip. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's 
Catholic Cemetery. Friends may join the family at 596 Mowbray Arch. H.D. Oliver 
Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
