He was a native of Edenton, N.C., and lived here 42 years. He was a son of Jefferson and Mrs. Susie Yarbrough, and was retired from the public Works Center, Norfolk Naval Station, where he worked 34 years. He was a member of Rising Sun Masonic Lodge 2, Machelor Benedict Social and Beneficial Association, and Bute Street First Baptist Church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bernette H. Yarbrough; a son, Eric Earl Yarbrough Jr. of Portsmouth; a daughter, Mrs. Joan I. Davis, and a sister, Mrs. Susie Wright, both of Norfolk; four brothers, Ulysses Yarbrough of Washington, Pa., Jefferson D. Yarbrough and Joseph Yarbrough of Philadelphia and Leon Yarbrough of East Orange, N.J.; and 11 grandchildren. The body was taken to Riddick Funeral Service. A funeral service will be conducted in Bute Street First Baptist Church Monday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. E. Paul Simms. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
