Charles M. Yerby Jr., 85, of the 1700 block of Ashland Ave., died Sept. 27, 1995, 
in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Yerby was a native of Portsmouth, Va. He was the widower of Mabel Lawler 
Yerby.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Y. Inman, of Norfolk, Va., and Judith Y. 
Burke, of Tarrytown, N.Y.; two sons, John Lawler "Pat" Yerby of Irvine, Calif., 
and Charles M. Yerby, III, of Boone, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-
grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. Saturday Sept. 30, 1995, at Christ 
the King Catholic Church, Norfolk by Fr. Joseph P. Lehman. Burial will be at St. 
Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to Candii House, 
3309 Granby Street, Norfolk, Va. 23517.  H.D.Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, 
is handling arrangements.
