Marie Golden Young, 96, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2018. Born in 
Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late Marie G. and John A. Golden, Sr. 
She was also preceded in death by her husband, John C. Young, her daughter Margie 
Young-Taylor, and her brother, John A. Golden, Jr. She leaves to cherish her 
memory her devoted daughter, Antoinette G. Young, as well a host of nieces, 
nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 6, at 
Graves Funeral Home, 1631 Church St., Norfolk, VA from 1:00-6:00 p.m. and 10:00-
10:45 a.m. on Friday, September 7. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. 
Friday, September 7 at St. Mary's Cemetery, 3000 Church St., Norfolk, VA. Family 
and friends should assemble at 10:45 a.m. Friday at the funeral home for 
processional to cemetery.
