CHARLES D. YOUNG

NORFOLK - Charles D. Young, 89, a native of Norfolk, died Tuesday in a hospital.

Mr. Young had retired as chief clerk to the Fifth Naval District's Commandant 
after 44 years.  He was a member of Ocean View Knights of Columbus, Council 3548, 
and Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lilly R. Young, and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church.  A wake will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, Norfolk.
