The Norfolk Virginian, December 29, 1895

The funeral of Henry J. Young, who died at the Retreat for the Sick Friday 
morning, will take place from the First Presbyterian Church this afternoon at 
3 o’clock. The deceased had been sick for some time and leaves a wife and one 
child. He was well known, having at one time been janitor of the Y.M.C.A. 
building and later was connected with the city jail. He was a member of 
Palestine Tent No. 40, I.O. Rechabites.
