Frances Artressia Young, 10, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Young of 828 
Vermont Street, died July 27 after a brief illness. Funeral services were held 
from Shiloh Baptist Church, July 29 with the pastor, the Rev. W. L. Hamilton, 
officiating. Friends and classmates of the deceased who were flower girls were: 
Marion and Delois Eleby, Sadie, Rosa and Hazel Bembry, Vivian and Gloria Coleman, 
and Lula Mae and Frances Alston. She is survived by her parents, four brothers, 
and three sisters, and a host of other relatives and friends. Burial was in 
Calvary Cemetery.
