Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, September 18, 2002 
Rose Lee Younger, 81, formerly of the 900 block of A Ave., passed quietly and
peacefully into eternal rest Sept. 16, 2002. She was a native of Buckhorn, Va.,
and the daughter of James and Sally Scott Younger.

Rosa Lee was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Class of 1938. She
attended Norfolk Mission College (now Norfolk State University). She was retired
from Norfolk Redevelopment Housing and Authority where she worked as a clerk for
more than 25 years. As a member of Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church she was
very active in many phases of church life and attended regularly until her
health failed.

She leaves to cherish her memory a sister, Louise Younger; a niece, Margaret W.
Fields Miller and husband Charles; two great-nieces; and a cousin, Betty Braam.
She was predeceased by a sister, Jeanette Y. Williams.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church,
7036 Chesapeake Blvd., with the Rev. Dr. Cedric Kirkland-Harris officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m.
at Riddick Funeral Service. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.
Friday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 7
p.m. The family will assemble at 10:45 a.m. at the church Friday.
