Mrs. Cora Lee Zachary, of 1423 Proescher street, died July 31 at her home
following an illness of about a month.  Funeral services were held Aug. 8 at New
Calvary Baptist Church with Elder Samuel A. Wilson, pastor, officiating.  He was
assisted by the Revs. Earl Williams, John R. Gray and Howell L. McClendon Jr.

A native of Norfolk, Mrs. Zachary was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the
Veterans of Foreign Wars.  

She is survived by her husband, Charles Zachary;  five sisters, Mesdames Pearl
Watson, Annie R. Williams, Zodie L. Nichols, Rose Holmes and Mamie Riddick;  one
brother, Clifton Teagle, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale’s Funeral Home in charge.
