Leroy Zachary of 386 East Bute street died July 24 at a veterans hospital 
following an illness of about seven years.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. July 28 at Hale’s Funeral Chapel with the 
Rev. William Benson officiating.

Mr. Zachary was a native of Norfolk and a veteran of World War II.  He is survived 
by his wife, Mrs. Rosa Zachary;  a son, and a brother.  Interment was in Calvary 
Cemetery.
