Virginian-Pilot, 7-26-1942
Abraham Zedd, 73, retired real estate man and well-known leader of the Jewish 
population of Berkley, died at the residence, [], yesterday at 1:20 a.m. He 
had been ill for six months.

A native of Russia, Mr. Zedd was the son of the Robert and Mrs. Sarah Zedd. He 
took a prominent part in the affairs of Berkley and of Mikro Kodesh Synagogue.

Besides his wife, Mrs. Fannie Salsbury Zedd, he is survived by five sons, Ben, 
Nathan, Dr. Maxwell, Raymond and Stanley Zedd; four daughters, Mrs. T. L. 
Amelson, Mrs. Louis Spector, and Mrs. Louis Kootner, of Norfolk, and Mrs. 
Milton Perel of Richmond; a sister Mrs. Celia Roseman of Norfolk; nine 
grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the 
residence.

Interment will be in the Hebrew Cemetery, Berkley avenue extended.
