Virginian-Pilot, 1-4-1956
Dr. Louis A. Zedd, 45, proprietor of Zedd's Fairview Pharmacy, died yesterday 
at 3:25 p.m. in a Norfolk Hospital after an illness of one month. A native of 
South Norfolk, he had lived in Norfolk most of his life, lately at [], 
Eastabrook. His pharmacy is located at 3387 Fairview Boulevard, Portsmouth.

He was a son of Sam Zedd and the late Mrs. Celia Sensul Zedd, and husband of 
Mrs. Pauline Hellums Zedd.

A graduate of South Norfolk High School he attended the Philadelphia College 
of Pharmacy and Science, where he earned his degree, graduating in 1944. He 
was active in the Norview High School Boosters' Club and was a member of 
Temple Israel.

Besides his father and wife, surviving are one son, Lester Lee Zedd, two 
daughters, Beverly Ruth Zedd, and Louise Maria Zedd; three brothers, Sidney R. 
Zedd, Bennie Zedd and Stanley Zedd, all of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Annie 
Katz, of Arlington; Mrs. Bessie King of Norfolk, and Mrs. Rosa Norad, of 
Hampton.

The body was removed to the Sykes Funeral Home, Berkley, where funeral 
services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Mikro Kodesh 
Cemetery, Berkley Avenue Extended. The family has requested that flowers be 
omitted.
