His funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, at St. Marks A. M. E. Church. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. During the funeral services, Mr. W. D. Smith sang, “There Is Nothing Between Me and My Saviour,” and Mrs. Hattie Cheatham sang “What Are They Doing in Heaven Today.” Mr. Zelks is survived by his widow, four daughters, two grandchildren, three sisters, and a host of friends.
