NORFOLK - Henry Milton Ziegenfuss, 83, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011, in 
Norfolk. He was born in Hellertown, Pa., and was a lifelong Norfolk resident and a 
son of the late Stuart and Cora Yost Ziegenfuss. He was predeceased by a sister, 
Betty Smith, and two brothers, Franklin and David Ziegenfuss. He married Pilar 
Cecilia Garza, and they recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. He 
retired as a district manager with Zippo Lighter Manufacturing Company. He was a 
longtime member of Christ the King Catholic Church. In addition to his wife, Henry 
is survived by two daughters, Brigid Miller of Chesapeake and Beatrice Nelson of 
Wake Forest, N.C.; four sons, H. Michael Ziegenfuss of Norfolk, Douglas Ziegenfuss 
of Virginia Beach, Stephen Ziegenfuss of Fairfax and Richard Ziegenfuss of Athens, 
Ga.; one sister, Helen Susanna Bencak of Bethlehem, Pa.; one brother, Edwin 
Ziegenfuss of Chesapeake; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A Mass of 
Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, July 22, at Christ the King 
Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The family 
will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at H. D. Oliver Funeral
