The Norfolk Virginian Pilot March 2, 1937


George H. Zimmer, aged 72, died suddenly at a local hospital yesterday morning 
at 4:30 o'clock.  He was the husband of the late Mrs. Barbara Zimmer and son 
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Zimmer. Mr. Zimmer was born in Baltimore, and 
had lived in Norfolk for 50 years.  At the time of his death he lived at the 
home of his niece, Mrs. Elizabeth Tinnin, 319 Westover avenue.  He is survived 
by two nieces, Mrs. Tinnin and Mrs. Lucy White, of Norfolk, and two nephews, 
William J. Herman and Arthur J. Doss, of Norfolk. Funeral services will be 
conducted at the Gregory Funeral Home, 3401 Granby street, tomorrow afternoon 
at 2:30 o'clock.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
