Virginia Beach - Charles T. "Chuck" Zito, 84, passed away on December 8, 2013. 
Chuck was born to Angelo and Rose Zito on October 30, 1929, in Johnstown, PA and 
left there at the age of 17 to join the US Navy. He served 27 years and retired as 
a Master Chief Petty Officer. Chuck was an avid golfer and volunteered for many 
churches and organizations throughout his travels.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia Fantone Zito, his son, Charles T. 
"Tom" Zito Jr. and his wife Joni Zito, his daughter, Toni Anne Zito, his 
grandchildren Michael Zito and his wife Laura Terry Zito, Morgan Zito, Allyn Zito, 
Jenna Zito and his brand new great-grandson Braden Zito. He is also survived by 
his brother, Anthony "Tony" Zito, brother-in-law, Steven Friedman, sisters-in-law, 
Nancy Owen, Ida "Booty" Roberson and Marilyn Fantone and his 38 nieces and 
nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2pm Friday at Saint Nicholas Catholic Church, 712 
Little Neck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23452. Family will receive friends 
immediately following in the St. Nicholas social hall. Memorial donations may be 
made to the Alzheimer's Association http://www.alzfdn.org.
