Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark October 31, 1924

George Zoby, 64, died at his residence, 1038 Forty-second Street, yesterday 
morning at 7:20 o'clock. He was a native of Syria and had lived in Norfolk for 27 
years. Besides his wife, Mrs. Creamer Zoby, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. 
Sam Hoffler and Mrs. Joseph M. Decker; three sons, Joseph G., Thomas G. and Andrew 
G. Zoby; 21 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two brothers. Funeral 
services will be conducted at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Sunday afternoon 
at 3 o'clock, the Rev. Leo J. Ryan, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery.
