Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark February 8, 1931

Mrs. Creamer Mary Zoby, aged 61 years, widow of George Zoby, died at 6 o'clock 
yesterday morning at the residence, 1038 West Forty-second Street. She was a 
native of Syria and had been a resident of Norfolk for 34 years. Surviving her 
are three sons, Joseph G., Thomas G. and Andrew Zoby; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph 
M. Decker and Mrs. Sam Hoffler and a number of grand and great-grandchildren, 
all of Norfolk. Funeral services will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic 
Church, of which she was a member, tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment 
will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

MRS. CREAMER MARY ZOBY - Funeral services for Mrs. Zoby, widow of George Zoby, 
whose death occurred Saturday morning, were held at 10 o'clock yesterday morning 
at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with the Rev. Leo J. Ryan officiating.  At 
the conclusion of the Mass, Father Ryan paid tribute to the Christian life and 
character of the deceased.  During the service, Joseph McGlinchy sang "O 
Salutoris," with Mrs. C. R. Davies, accompanist.  There was a large attendance 
and many floral offerings.  The casket was covered with clusters of roses, sweet 
peas, carnations and ferns.  Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery.  The 
pallbearers were S. S. Zrake, E. Otto, B. G. Kal, J. Habib, E. G. Abourjilie, 
Michael Sakakiny, Charles Bashara and S. K. Fadel.
